3/4 cup Butter
3/4 cup Crisco or Margarine (butter Crisco is good)
1-1/2 cups sugar
Scant 3 cups flour, sifted with 1-1/2 tsp baking ammonia (crushed), and 2 tsp vanilla extract.
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour and other ingredients. Chill for at least an hour.
Make small balls and bake slowly at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
