1 pkg. lentils
3-4 cloves garlic chopped
1 onion chopped
1 sm. pkg. chopped broccoli
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
pasta or rice
Clean lentils, put in sauce pan with water, enough to cover lentils. Add salt and pepper to taste. Boil for 10 minutes the add chopped onion and broccoli and olive oil. Let cook until lentils are tender, add more water if it gets too thick. When tender, add chopped garlic and cook on low heat for a couple minutes. Cook pasta or rice. Add lentils over pasta or rice. It should be somewhat watery like soup. Add romano cheese over top.
